I help develop product, brands and experiences across the consumer spectrum using narrative to drive innovation and uniqueness. Stories that connect to the user in a meaningful way; strengthening and expanding the possibilities. I work in collaboration with principal stake-holders to create vision and strategy.
We all tell stories; but how can we infuse story to make things meaningful? What is today's consumer about and what motivates them? How do children best learn in the 21st century? Those and other topics I will talk about using my past and present insights and years of designing innovative product and content.
For over 30 years I have had the privilege to create vision and strategy that led to the design and development of product and entertainment across many categories; for families of children birth to eight years old.
It's what drives me. It's knowing that I helped make a difference and created an experience that stayed with them as they grew. A bit egotistical, sure, but there is nothing more gratifying than have someone come up to me and say, "I remember playing with that. It meant so much to me. I played with it every day. It brings back fond memories of my childhood."
I've honed my skills as a designer to facilitate new innovative ideas and programs, pushing for things never done before and bringing joy with an ability to learn, to children and parents around the world.
Throughout my career I have infused story into everything I produce. As the basis for concept or the creation of new intellectual property, story plays such an important part and the techniques used are critical to success.
I am now presenting my expertise to companies and individuals that want to connect their user in unique ways, letting story help open the door to greater innovative possabilities.
